New mentor: David Kogut, president Northeast Venture Group

We happy to announce that David Alan Kogut, a leading expert in creating corporate brand image and identity through new media communications and technology will join UBC2C as a mentor (and guest speaker for the PR/New Media Workshop)

President of both Northeast Venture Group and Life Course Media, David has over 20 years of experience in advertising, print, video, photography and web. His main focus has been media related to television, radio and the music industry.

New Mentor: Director and Producer Matt Cowart

Director and producer Matt Cowart, who specializes in developing new musicals will be a mentor at the UBC2C NYC Symposium. Most recently, he produced Sondheim: The Birthday Concert at Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic.  Read the NYTimes recap here.

Matt is a Resident Director at The CRY HAVOC Company and will be teaching a workshop at UBC2C NYC called Acting for Musicals.

Talent Agent Lakey Wolff ’88 Will Mentor at UBC2C

We’re pleased to announce that Lakey Wolff ’88, commercial Talent Agent in the On Camera Commercial Division at  Cunningham-Escott-Slevin-Doherty will be joining UBC2C NYC as a mentor.

His Clients Win Oscars

We’re pleased to announce that Dennis Reiff ’69, president of New York-based Reiff and Associates, LLC will be a panelist on the Entertainment, Arts and Media Law Panel.

His Manhattan firm specializes in media and entertainment insurance brokerage including: feature films, Broadway and Off-Broadway plays, and documentary films.

According to his firm’s website, they insured Oscar-winning film, Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire & The Cove.
