Peter Riegert to join Acting/Casting Workshop

Oscar® and Emmy® Nominee Peter Riegert, UB ‘68 has joined the conference and will lead the Acting Workshop along with Linda Phillips Palo, UB ’75, ’72 and guest speaker Steven Christopher Parker (“ER,” “Rebound,” “Juno”) and Paul Palo, Emmy-nominated producer/director/documentarian and veteran casting director.

Riegert has appeared in more than 30 films including “Local Hero,” “Animal House,” “The Mask,” and“Traffic”. He was nominated for an Emmy for his role in “Barbarians at the Gate,” for CBS and played Richard Nixon in the Emmy winning “Concealed Enemies” for CBS. He most recently was part of the award winning short,” The Response,” about Military Tribunals in Guantanamo which received the American Bar Association’s Silver Gavel Award. His directing debut began with the Academy Award nominated short,”By Courier,” and co/wrote and directed “King Of The Corner” with Gerald Shapiro, based on his short story collection, “Bad Jews And Other Stories.”
